Lónkot – Bucolic Resort offers their guests a sensory experience in natures magnetic setting at Lónkot´s Gravel, situated north of Cape Þórðarhöfði in Skagafjörður. Lónkot is a family owned guesthouse and restaurant since 1991 garnering great reviews for its gastronomy and hospitality. In its earlier days Lónkot was a traditional Icelandic farm with herd of sheeps and cows until its outhouses were converted into a romantic and family friendly vacation destination by its owners Ólöf and Jón. Lónkot is now run by their children Ólafur, Pálína and Júlía. Lónkot is undergoing renovations and renewing of the décor and spirit for the opening for the summer season on June 1st, 2012.
